Especially funny, when you have some more legendary creatures and a Nykthos Paragon on the battlefield. Because it's just one instance of lifegain, all of your legendary creatures would get a ton of counters and not just 7.
You should gain 14 life because Piru deals 7 damage to the tokens. The game checks the last known information of Piru and it had lifelink. Isamaru won't be affected because it's legendary.
