Behind the Tag - Deck Stories Part 1
EntertainmentBy ChristopherB (2018-12-13)
Nowadays, most new decks have reasonable names like "Izzet Phoenix" or "Golgari Midrange," which more or less describes what the decks do/contain. But what about deck names from days gone by? Where does "the Rock" come from? What does "Death and Taxes" have to do with a white weenie deck? This is a series meant to discuss, briefly, the history behind these names.
Many RL haters play foil out commander Decks and waste their money for this kind of stuff.
Paying 150€ for a foil hallowed fountain first printing instead of 150 for a dual or City of traitors or even cradle. Now its out of range and time for hate. It is what it is. RL is the best thing mtg ever did. I'd wish they enlarge it, so that some massive overprinting keeps in check.
The price spike was unfortunately long overdue. I think most of us all hate the RL.
