Will this card be reprinted ever in a Standard legal set? I don't think so. Wizards tend to avoid cheap hard counters, and this is the 2nd best counter they ever created...

The art was originally used in 1994 for the Legends membership price. This is one of the currently rarest judge foils availlable, if one compares how many nm copies are on sale on MCM. Currently there are only 10 nm copies availlable. The card also sees both vintage and legacy play occasionally.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Pauper Staple Comparisons

ConstructedBy WileCoyote (2018-11-14)

What makes a good card? What makes a bad card? This all depends on the situation. Today, I'm looking at cards that are similar in mana cost and/or effect and comparing them to find the best and the worst. I'll be using Pauper cards as their power levels are similar, but the principles used in this article should hold true for any Constructed format.

Potential Pauper Playables in Guilds of Ravnica

ConstructedBy WileCoyote (2018-10-23)

Guilds of Ravnica is out and like the majority of Magic the Gathering players, I was looking over the spoilers with interest. However, I was not looking for splashy mythic cards to wreck my bank balance to compete in Standard, I was looking for cool common cards that could become a force in Pauper.

Hochstapler – Bavarian Highlander

ConstructedBy Andifeated (2018-08-10)

Highlander might be the most popular way to build casual decks and enjoy Magic in a non-tournament environment. There are many ways to play Highlander and while Elder Dragon Highlander (AKA Commander) might be the most popular by far, there are many more ways to build singleton decks and have fun at the kitchen or bar table. Andifeated is here to show you a bavarian variant of Highlander – or as they call it in southern Germany “Hochstapler”.
