Why did this card double in prize in less than a week? Because it didn't get the reprint it SHOULD HAVE HAD in MM15! Good Job Wizards! Doing the opposite they were set out to do...

DrakkarHeart(2015-05-15 18:43)

i really dont understand the value of this card, at all, maybe its just me, i dont know.

thechrom(2015-05-11 20:30)

Modern affinity is growing and there are no reprints planned so expect a price increase !

Abigor(2015-05-11 15:30)

This was reprinted already on an Event Deck... It's expensive because it's not in MM2, so there will be a long time for a reprint, It sees play in infect and affinity/robots decks.

Psychatogpl(2015-05-09 21:18)

this one get some insane peak lately. I'm curious if Wizards will reprint this in near future, but sadly there were no poison on Zendikar : (

espartaco(2015-05-09 21:03)

Why is so expensive this one now? Lucky to purchase the foil...

Piromancer(2015-05-09 15:14)

10 points of infect is sometimes easier to achieve than 20 points of damage

Demppa(2015-05-08 09:15)

Will not be reprinted in MM15 so the value should stick or even elevate.

The Post-GP Prague Metagame Breakdown

Event CoverageBy HansD (2018-09-05)

Although the European Modern scene leans toward control more than its American counterpart, the numbers that W/U Control put up at GP Prague came as an eye-opener for someone like me who expected things to be a lot more linear. Regardless, I want to take a look at the archetype's performance, examine an up-and-comer from the tournament, and wrap things up with a look towards the future. Without further ado, let's jump right into the deck of the hour, W/U Control.

The Golden Rules of Modern - Part One

ConstructedBy HansD (2018-08-14)

Modern is a great format to theory-craft in, with an ever-evolving metagames and a deep card pool to feed discussions and theories about the format. This also means that what was once true in Modern no longer apply – a good example of this is, "Don't tap out against Twin on turn three" – but there are also long-standing rules that every Modern player should be aware of if he or she wants to play well. The first three of these "Golden Rules of Modern" might be ones you know already, but they also might be ones you haven't thought about yet. Let's jump right in and take a look at our first, and arguably the most famous, rule.

During a conversation last week, my friend Stefan asked me if I would be interested in playing in a large Modern tournament the following week. He has a large collection of Modern staples, which he offered to lend if there was a deck I wanted to play in particular. He had decided on playing Grixis Shadow for the tournament, and I picked up Black-Green Elves. Here's the deck list for my 75.
