Lands do not have a color identity.
However, there is a rule that deals with this basic land types in commander:
"903. 5d A card with a basic land type may be included in a Commander deck only if each color of mana it could produce is included in the commander’s color identity."

ConstructedBy Rone (2021-03-03)

Kaldheim has landed in Standard for Go(o)d. While some top-tier decks didn't change all that much, snow, Sagas, foretell, and a bunch of other cards have left their mark on the format! Today we will look at the best strategies that have emerged thanks to the snowest set ever printed.

Playmat Icons: Demons

ConstructedBy Kumagoro (2021-02-24)

Tormentor of souls, brokers of deals, or just plain deliverers of vicious brutality, Demons often make for the scariest presence on the battlefield. They come in all sinister shapes and horned forms, and black is their favorite color. So if you're willing to strike a bargain with them, be ready to plunge into darkness.

Elves Making a Comeback with Kaldheim

ConstructedBy ElonThragtusk (2021-02-22)

With Kaldheim giving us so many new Elves, it's no surprise how everybody thought the tribe was finally making a big return. However, it's been out of the meta for so long that everyone lost count. It would probably take a miracle … Are the new cards, together with the most recent bans, just that?

Top 5 Cards That Should See More Play in Modern

ConstructedBy Skura (2021-02-01)

Modern is a vast format with dozens upon dozens of viable archetypes. To me, it's the most diverse, fun, stimulating, and overall best format in Magic. However, people sometimes tunnel vision on a narrow subset of cards that they keep playing over and over again and forget the cards that need exploring.

The Many Flavors of Modern Control

ConstructedBy Skura (2020-11-17)

Modern has always been known for being the most open and diverse competitive Magic format, and this time it's not any different. In this article, we want to look at a bunch of different Cryptic Command control decks, including some lesser-known variants, that are part of the metagame right now.

Omnath's Life Beyond Standard

ConstructedBy Rone (2020-11-12)

Field of the Dead in Modern

ConstructedBy Skura (2020-09-22)

Field of the Dead has been terrorizing a bunch of different formats in Magic over the past year, and it got itself banned from several. Recently, to the surprise of many, it has also had an increasingly meaningful impact on Modern. Let's explore the various Field shells that currently populate the format.

Eldrazi Tribal Commander Deck Tech: Monumental Mimeoplasm

ConstructedBy RyanS (2020-09-17)

Zendikar Rising is just around the corner and will have no Eldrazi. If you're feeling nostalgic for the colorless tentacle monsters, this tribal deck commanded by The Mimeoplasm is for you. Ramp out the big titans, annihilate all opposition, and marvel at the majesty of the brand-new card Forsaken Monument!

BUG Control in Modern

ConstructedBy Skura (2020-08-13)

Following the ban of Arcum's Astrolabe from Modern, control players have to rediscover the archetype and readjust to the new environment. "Skurtai Control" is waiting in the wings to take over, quite likely the best successor to the previously dominating snow control value machines.

Cultivate Your Ramp

ConstructedBy Kumagoro (2020-07-02)

Standard has no shortage of great ways to ramp, and M21 added a few more, mostly by reprinting established classics. One of these has been a staple of Commander since its debut in M11 as a functional clone of Kodama's Reach with a more generic name. Does it change anything in the way current ramp decks operate?

An Ultimatum to the Meta

ConstructedBy Kumagoro (2020-06-09)

Standard has been weird for a while. Overpowered cards and mechanics have given birth to a number of top decks, whose diversity never mitigated their marked superiority. Now bans and the companion nerf have reset the field, but the dust hasn't settled yet, so it might be the best time to try something fun!

Yorion, Sky Nomad Rises in Modern

ConstructedBy Rone (2020-05-25)

"Come slide down rainbows in the sky, let's fly away. Like a bird, you're free to see the boundless face of the earth. Let the wind blow you like a kite and glide away." This is what it feels like to try Yorion in Modern, where the sky is the limit and all your wishes come true by playing an 80-card deck.

Yorion, a Nomad Mad for Standard

ConstructedBy BrentT (2020-04-30)

When companions were initially released, Yorion, Sky Nomad sort of flew under the radar because obviously busted Lurrus and Gyruda claimed the spotlight first. But the Standard metagame moves fast and now we're seeing Yorion variants rise to the top. Let's take a look at a couple of decks running an extra twenty cards.
