Innistrad is the first set in the Innistrad block. The set was designed by Mark Rosewater and Magic's original creator, Richard Garfield, amongst others. Innistrad has a horror-theme, meaning that you will meet vampires, werewolves, and zombies in large numbers. Other than the popular Flashblack-machanism from Odyssey, Innistrad will feature three new game mechanics. Curses are enchantments, that have negative effects on a player of your choice. Cards with the "Morbid" keyword have some effect if a creature already died this turn. Finally the introduction of Double-Faced cards is the highlight of Innistrad. These cards don't have the usual Magic backside. Instead they represent two aspects of the same card on each side of the card. A simple example would be a werewolf that begins as a human, but can turn to a werewolf when something specific happens. These triggers are Magic-specific triggers of course, although in the chosen example the full-moon would usually be the trigger that turns the human in a werewolf.
