Command and Partner

The complete deck lists are available and there has already been a shift in sales prices for the complete decks as well as for all the single cards.

Commander 2016 will be released November, 11. The complete deck lists are available and there has already been a shift in sales prices for the complete decks as well as for all the single cards. It doesn't contain any broken cards for Legacy (or Vintage), so there is no desperate need to chase down a specific deck before it doubles in price. There are lots of nice reprints of Modern and Legacy staples though and very interesting Commander cards. Even if you aren't a Commander enthusiast, you should consider buying these decks in case you are missing multiple cards for your Modern, Legacy or even Vintage decks. You should have no problem to use the rest of the deck as trade material to make your money back while keeping the desired cards. Do you still need Scavenging Ooze, Reveillark, Master of Etherium or Thopter Foundry for Modern, or Baleful Strix and Past in Flames for Legacy? How about Oath of Druids and Forbidden Orchard for Vintage?

Of course, their reprint will bring the prices of these cards down across the board, so you could also just pick up the singles you were missing cheaply in the upcoming weeks.

Considering that the decks not only contain good reprints but also new cards that are not available in any other product, they should hold a good value in the long run.

While most cards are still falling, some have already stabilized or are even trending upwards.

Here are the top sellers at the moment:

Ash Barrens From (EX+): 0,39 € Price Trend: 0,63 €

Cheap colorless color-fixing that can even help casting the good Eldrazi cards.

Silas Renn, Seeker Adept, Kraum, Ludevic's Opus and various other Partner cards.

Deepglow Skate From (EX+): 2,70 € Price Trend: 2,60 €

Doubling any number and any kind of counters is always a good selling point with Commander players. Whether it is buffing your creatures, helping to ultimate your planeswalkers, or messing with negative counters on opposing cards, this card is always a lot of fun.

Atraxa, Praetors' Voice From (EX+): 4,49 € Price Trend: 4,50 €

Atraxa has a lot of useful abilities and a great body. She keeps medium sized attackers at bay, while attacking in the air and healing you in the process. Being able to mess around with counters is another nice bonus.

The prices for the decks have started to drift apart. In the beginning all of them were selling for 23 €, now they range from 16 € to 27 € instead.

Do you think that Bastion Protector is a good investment at the moment or Partner mechanic is not that strong ?

I bought a set of all 5 decks for about 100 €... I'll sell nearly all reprints and some of the new stuff I'll never play. I hope to get an return of 80-100 € in resales, so I can hold the cards I really wanted - like Atraxa - for nearly free :-)
