Some of the rarest cards in Magic's history are the Celebrations Cards. Each card marks an important event in Richard Garfield's life and fewer than 100 copies per card have been printed.
Richard Garfield and his designers created a whole set, Spectral Chaos, that was never printed. But many of the designs were then used in other future expansions. Examining their evolution really pulls the curtain to reveal their process for making some of the game's classic mechanics and cards.
Jamin and Carl are losing their minds along with their taste buds today, attempting to play a Modern Boros Burn mirror match, but dealing each other damage with both hot sauces and burn spells.

Like last time Jamin and Thoralf are opening Double Masters 2022 packs doing a value battle while telling stories of the cards they open along the way. We also give away the contents of their packs to a commenter on YouTube!
In the upcoming set, Dominaria United, Wizards include some old cards again. This time you will be able to find cards from Legends in Collector Boosters!

With Spell Pierce I have a lot of good and bad memories. But the single one worth mentioning is probably this one:
I was playing Legacy in Hassloch (nice name) at a time when Mental Misstep was still legal. I played Mono R Gobbos as I did not have the money for Duals back then in school. But I was lucky enough to know someone who gave me four Missteps to play.
I played against some Tempo. Already a pretty bad matchup but good for Missteps.
Opponent begins with Fetchie and go.
I play Mountain into Lackey (with a Misstep in hand. So prepared for everything).
Opponent pays two life and counters with Misstep. Why the hell did he not pay with his mana? Well.... After I tried to counter with my own Misstep, he pulled out Spell Pierce and countered my Misstep.
I still have a recorded video of a kitchen table friend saying that Spell Pierce is super bad and he will never ever play it (right after the first spoilers). Needless to say that he, as a passionate blue player, is playing it in every deck.
I want that Kaalia:
