This guy is gonna lift up Sultai Control in Pioneer all by himself.
Durdle around, kill stuff and then finish em of with a 6/6 monstrosity for only 3 mana
Uro is a powerful card, it is maybe one of the best cards of the new set and in standard.
It will sure see play in any format as soon it will be possible.
For standard: Most times it will be used as an upgraded Growth Spiral with an possible way to get it back on the battlefield and to get his ability triggered any time it attacks. Sure there will be a lot of possibilities to fill the graveyard, especially with blue mill cards, or in Temur, or in Sultai, but there are a lot of cards that will try to block this new escape ability, cards like Grafedigger's Cage or Kunoros. Uro will be a threat, but not with such an impact as Oko. To get it escaped needs some time, or a deck that is tuned for it. Oko was just an easy upgrade in the existing green/blue decks with an huge impact on the meta. U play Oko or you need a deck to handle it, there was less in between. Another hitback for standard is the starting level of his prices. It will be too expensive for this format to dominate it, because of its drawbacks. Other formats like pioneer, modern, legacy and commander will maybe have more use of it and therefore the price will reflect its use in other formats and not in standard.
I'm looking forward to play it on Arena and to find a deck that can use his abilities as good as possible. But in paper it is too expensive if your will not use it in modern or pioneer with a banning possible in these formats. So maybe it would be wise to wait a little time before you buy four of them... ;-)!
