Catch your Vitamin D with V Booster 09: Silverdust Blaze

Summer is the hottest season whether you live on Planet Cray or Earth and the newest V Booster: Silverdust Blaze, releasing on 4 September 2020, is the living proof of this. Silverdust Blaze the heat through further support for the blazing dragons of Kagero, the neofuturist beings of Link Joker, the Japanese deitys of the Oracle Think Thank, and the robotic policeman of the Dimensional Police.

This set includes 89 cards (five VR, 11 RRR, 12 RR, 18 R, 43 C) plus 33 Parallel cards, in which eight cards are reprints from past sets. Silverdust Blaze introduces the SP clan pack, a super rare pack that includes five SP of one of this set’s clans. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of each booster pack is 4,00 €.

Overlord vs Messiah, a Clash of Titans

Dragonic Overlord is a major selling point of Cardfight!! Vanguard. It’s been present since the game first launched and has always played a central role in the meta. So when a new Overlord evolution is announced, the players already know that the set is a hit. Dragonic Overlord “The X” is an old unit introduced in the early days of G Era that could [Legion] with Dragonic Overlord “The End”. This close interaction has been brought back in V Series, and one continuous effect of “The X” is nullifying card effects that would count the cards in your hand. This is a super synergistic ability, since “The End” needed 4 or less cards in hand to [Stand] a third time.

The other contender for most popular clan in Silverdust Blaze is Link Joker. The Messiah archetype got a major boost with some new cool cards including Alter Ego Messiah, the old pillar of the deck. This time, by paying [Soul Blast (1)], Alter Ego chooses two different cards from the drop zone and places them back on the field as locked cards. It does more than that though. When Alter Ego attacks, the player can unlock any number of cards, giving them [Power]+10000. Since locking cards is a cost of some Link Joker cards like Lady Fencer of the Matter Transmisson, Alter Ego nullifies that cost and opens the door for strong interactions that might turn the game to Link Joker’s favor.

Love All Clans the Same

Despite their lower popularity comparing with the big contenders, Oracle Think Thank and Dimensional Police have always held the spotlight in our hearts. Amaterasu’s brother Susanoo is now in the V Series and in Oracle Think Thank fashion, he not only draws two cards, but also activates all triggers drawn this way. In addition to this, Dimensional Police gets their G Era unit in Great Cosmic Hero, Grandgallop and he stacks up effects according to his [Critical] value. At 4 [Critical], he grants his front-row one extra [Critical] plus [Power]+15000. Attacking with such a powered-up front-row is a real delight.

As with all main sets, V Booster 09: Silverdust Blaze has something for everyone. Whether your thing is dragons, old gods from Japanese mythology, giant robots, or aliens, Bushiroad has got you covered.
