Last but not least, the fifth Start Deck promises to keep the peace between all other nations with an expert tactical team. This is the only way that Planet Cray can be safe from all the ill-intended groups and their plots for world domination. In Cardfight!! Vanguard OverDress, major alliances were made between the old clans to establish a more powerful Cray and the result was the creation of six nations, and the Brandt Gate and their cybernetic inventions will have an impact on the planet, good or bad.
Each D Start Deck 05 contains a 50-card pre-constructed deck with 15 different cards, one of them being holographic. Also included is a themed paper playmat. D Start Deck releases on 14 May 2021 and the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of each pre-constructed deck is 3,99 €.
Brandt Gate was previously named Star Gate, which was a spaceport operated by aliens and battleroids. In the events after the fall of Gyze, Dimensional Police, Nova Grappler, and Link Joker have united into a nation, putting their differences aside and working towards a more advanced future. The police force still operates in Brandt Gate and it’s responsible for keeping the peace in Cray and in the remaining universe. However, D Start Deck 05 introduces us to the Aurora Battle Princess police station.
Battle Princesses uses a new mechanic that suits this nation better than ever: Prisons! That’s right! There’s a new type of Order, the Set Order, that has a continuous effect on the field and won’t go to the drop zone after it resolves! Prison cards function just like how a prison in real life would, wherein certain effects allow you to imprison your opponent's cards by putting them under your Set Order.
Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus is the penitentiary that D Start Deck 05 offers that can be played by [Rest]ing one unit. However, there is a price that the opponent can pay to let their cards out of the prison, either a [Soul Blast (1)] for releasing one or [Counter Blast (1)] for releasing two - just like bail!
Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow is the sheriff in town, and not only can she put some baddies behind bars, but she also gains effects by meeting some thresholds. Seraph Snow, by paying [Counter Blast (1)], chooses two of her opponent’s Rear-Guards and imprisons them in the Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus. While she has one or more in her imprisoned in her Prison, she gets [Power]+10000 and if she has at least three inmates, she gets [Drive]+1. Even if the prisoners can escape with a fee, that won’t stop Seraph Snow from arresting them again during her turn and gaining the effects once again, until either victory is assured and the streets are finally clean.
Cardfight!! Vanguard’s path is yet to be known, but the five D Start Decks that Bushiroad launched open a chapter with endless possibilities. It's another era of discovering a new way to Cardfight!! your hearts out.
