Delve into Darkness with V Extra Booster 12: Team Dragon's Vanity!

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Bushiroad has decided to start 2020 with an Extra Booster dedicated to three villains and their clans: the dark knights of Shadow Paladin, the deep fiends of Aqua Force, and the sky lizards of Narukami. Team Dragon's Vanity! includes 66 cards (three VR, six RRR, nine RR, 15 R, and 33 C) + 15 Parallel cards (three SVR, six SP, three SSR, and 3 IGR). There are 51 new cards in V Extra Booster 12 and 15 reprints from past sets. The MSRP of each Team Dragon's Vanity! is 4,00 € and available for purchase beginning 6 March 2020.

Every Villain Is a Hero in His Own Mind

Shadow Paladin is a polarizing clan: you either love them or hate them. In the anime series, one enthusiastic follower of Phantom Blaster Dragon decided to continue his path of conquering Planet Cray. This follower, named after Mordred's sword, was Claret Sword Dragon. On the battlefield, Claret has a lot of synergies with grade one units, using them as fuel to unleash powerful attacks. When placed on the field, the player looks at three cards from the top of their deck and puts any number of grade 1 cards into their drop zone. And until the end of the turn, Claret receives an extra +10000 [Power] for each card milled. This [Power] increase isn't going to be used for just one attack though. At the end of the battle that it attacked, by paying [Counter Blast (1)] and binding seven grade 1 cards from the drop zone, Claret gets to [Stand] and -1 [Drive] until end of turn. A worn-out opponent won't be able to defend two buffed attacks with three [Drive]s combined.

Old Leaders Return with New Mechanics

The ace card in Team Dragon's Vanity comes in different shapes. Last Card, Revonn was one of the first leaders of the Aqua Force clan and his abilities were unlocked if the player owned a certain number of [Rest] cards. Nowadays, Revonn has also the ability to subtract [Power] by resting one of their units, subtracting -5000 [Power] from the opposing Vanguard. While he's attacking, if he controls five or more rested Rear-Guards, he gains +15000 [Power] and one extra [Drive]. Revonn also gains +1 [Critical] if his soul contains a grade 3 unit. For a multiple attack clan, resting a unit can be a stone in the shoe, but subtracting -5000 [Power] has the potential to steal some games on the spot.

In the G season, Narukami grew apart from their brother Kagero. Dragonic Vanquisher functions as the Narukami always have, binding the opposing units and gaining [Power] by reaching binding thresholds. If a total of three or more of any player's cards were bound in a turn, Dragonic Vanquisher gives +10000 [Power] to his front-row until end of turn. The fact that this ability triggers even in the opponent's turn can give Narukami a defensive edge against very aggressive decks. Dragonic Vanquisher also has a board and hand control ability, since by paying [Counter Blast (1)], he gets to bind one unit in any front row and make him - and his opponent - bind one card if a grade 3 is in his soul. Previously an exclusive board control clan, Narukami has now the ability to control in other ways to achieve victory.
