Kick off the New Season with V Extra Booster 09: The Raging Tactics

The Vanguard community asks and Bushiroad delivers. V Extra Booster 09 is a booster exclusively for clans who don't usually win any popularity contest but have a loyal fanbase. This would include the military dinosaurs of Tachikaze, the mafia bugs of Megacolony, and the American football heroes of Spike Brothers. This latest Extra Booster includes 66 cards (three VR, six RRR, nine RR, 15 R, and 33 C) and 12 Parallel cards (three SVR and nine SP). Of the 66 cards from The Raging Tactics, 55 are new cards and 11 are reprints from past Trial Decks/Boosters. V Extra Booster 09 is available for purchase beginning 25 October 2019 and the MRSP of each booster pack is 4,00 €.

Welcome to the Jurassic Jungle

The only thing scarier than dinosaurs are dinosaurs augmented with artillery equipment – and that's exactly the bread and butter of Tachikaze, the elite ground assault troops of the Dragon Empire. In the Cardfight!! Vanguard TCG, this clan uses the Equip Gauges mechanic, face down cards stacked behind the player's Rear-Guards to be used for a variety of purposes. Thundering Sword Dragon, Angerblader is the new main ride of Tachikaze and this Dinodragon can handle things on his own: By putting one of his Rear-Guards as an Equip Gauge, he can retire one of his opponent's Rear-Guards. Note that this effect can be used any number of times! Also, when Angerblader attacks, by paying [Counter Blast (1)], he gets to [Stand] three of his Rear-Guards who have at least three Equip Gauges equipped, and all his front row units get +5000 [Power] until end of turn. Some cards need resources provided by other units and others are like Thundering Sword Dragon, Angerblader.

In the football field, the Planet Cray team thrives with the help of some ogres from the Spike Brothers clan. Although the clan is considered as the face of aggressive decks, V Extra Booster 09 gives this clan some ways to generate advantage. Deadheat Bullspike is the new quarterback of this team. While Bullspike is on the Vanguard circle, when one of his units attacks, by paying [Soul Blast (1)], he can move all Force Gift Markers to that unit's circle, allowing multiple massive attacks. He can also trigger his second ability when the attack with a Force Gift Marker does not hit, granting him an extra draw and retiring an opposing unit of his choice. Deadheat Bullspike is a once-per-turn effect that can give the necessary edge to score that last touchdown.

An Offer That No One Can Refuse

From the depths of the rainforest lie the heart of organized crime in Planet Cray. Megacolony employs all kinds of bugs – even cockroaches or dung beetles. If you want a piece of the pie, you'll need to talk to True Demonic Rifle Rogue, Gunningcoleo, the new boss of this clan. In the battlefield, Gunningcoleo can win games with a single mill. When he is placed in the Vanguard circle, he gets +5000 [Power]/+1 drive until end of turn. He then puts the top card of his opponent's deck in the drop zone. If it's a Grade 3, he gets an extra +10000 [Power]/+1 drive until end of turn. Besides this 4-drive attack, Gunningcoleo also has a prison-like ability. He can mill the top card of the opponent’s deck and prevent the opponent from calling units from their hand that have the same grade as the milled unit – also until end of turn. A bug-infested control deck will take the meta by storm.

The Raging Tactics feature three clans that can’t compete with the Paladins or Kagero clans but can certainly compete in the battlefield. And that is what matters at the end in a tournament.
