Duel Academy Takes on Neo Domino City in the 2018 Mega-Tins!

Yugi and Kaiba, step aside! Jaden and Yusei, from GX and 5D’s respectively, are on the cover of this year’s Mega-Tins bringing some new HERO and Synchro support with them. The tins will release on 30 August 2018 and each tin will include five promo cards: one secret rare, four ultra rares and three 16-card Mega-Packs, which you can read more details on the 2018 Mega-Tin Mega Pack page.

The Black Hole in Neo Space

The HERO archetype has been a fan favorite since their debut in 2005 and has received numerous support cards over the years. While one of Jaden’s most well known cards, Neos and the Neo-Spacians always stood in the shadow of the more popular heroes. The 2018 Mega-Tins are about to change that though – introducing Elemental HERO Nebula Neos! As a new Neos fusion monster with a couple of powerful abilities, not only is it able to refill your hand and negate a card’s effect, it’s also able to banish everything on the field! This new monster might explain all the Neo-Spacian and Neos reprints in some of the recent sets. Although, only time will tell if this walking black hole will be enough to take the Neos deck to new heights.

Something Is Breaching the Speed Limit!

...and it’s Junk Speeder as the new Synchro monster included in the Yusei tin! Yusei is known for bringing out synchro after synchro and this new card is all about doing just that. Junk Speeder has the ability to fill up your field with Tuner monsters, which can prove to be very useful for going into even more synchro combos to overwhelm your opponent, or even get out some Link monsters. Junk Speeder also has the ability to double its ATK during the turn its synchro is summoned, which is most likely a throwback to the classic Yusei card, Speed Warrior.

Speculations on the Other Promos

Mega-Tin promos are known for bringing some amazing reprints and OCG-imports to the TCG. For example, the immensely popular ultra rare Pot of Desires reprint from last year’s tins or the super rare Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit from the year before that. These Mega-Tins proved to be a godsend for the more budget-oriented players, so hopes are high for he 2018 Mega-Tins.

Will we be getting the game changing Crystron and Burning Abyss Link monsters in these tins? Since Konami has been slow in revealing some of the contents, only time will tell what promos we’ll find inside of our tins on August 30th.
