Every year duelists look forward to the annual Mega Packs – their second chance at getting popular cards from the past year. This year, the 2019 Mega Pack includes cards from Flames of Destruction (May 2018), Dark Saviors (May 2018), Cybernetic Horizon (July 2018), and Soul Fusion (October 2018). However, this year's Mega Pack has a few twists. First is that the foil cards in this set are in a different rarity than their original printing. Another is that the Prismatic Secret rarity is making a comeback.
In 2018, one of the highlights of the set Flames of Destruction were the Knightmare monsters, powerful utility Link Monsters that found their way into many decks. One of these monsters, Knightmare Mermaid, who barely escaped the most recent banlist, is confirmed to be reprinted in the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin Mega Pack! Although it's still a surprise as to what rarity Knightmare Mermaid will be released in, many players are already excited to finally add a foil printing of this card to their collection.
But as you might know, that’s not all. The other Knightmare monsters from Flames of Destruction will most likely see a reprint as well. Are you missing that one Knightmare Phoenix, Knightmare Cerberus, or Knightmare Unicorn for your deck? Look no further than the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin Mega Packs!
Even though a few Danger! monsters were hit during the latest banlist, they are still overall nasty monsters to deal with. One of their main playmakers Danger!? Tsuchinoko? is another reprint to be expected in this special set. As a Level 3 DARK Reptile-type monster, the card is able to Special Summon itself for no cost at all. Another popular card seeing a reprint in this set is Called by the Grave, an immensely powerful card able to stop hand Traps like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, a card frequently played in today’s meta.
Releasing on 29 August 2019, every Tin comes with three Mega Packs, each containing 12 Commons, one Rare, one Super Rare, one Ultra Rare, and one Prismatic Secret Rare. MSRP is $ 19.99 (approx. 17,98 €).
