A Thunderstorm Forms Above the Battlefield with Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon

Legendary Duelists: Rage of Ra introduced new support for the Winged Dragon of Ra in the form of a booster se and now, the support for the other two Gods will be released in two different pre-constructed decks! Egyptian God Deck: Obelisk the Tormentor and Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon feature existing cards that help bring out these legendary Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG cards, as well as brand new ones that specifically support the God cards. Fans of the Egyptian Gods will rejoice seeing each God’s signature attack, like Slifer’s Thunderforce Attack finally made into an actual card.

Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon contains 40 cards, consisting of four ultra rares, four super rares, and 32 commons.

Thunderforce Attack Will Make for a Stormy Duel

The God cards have a huge fanbase but they lack a bit in the competitive side of things. For this reason, any kind of support they get is a welcome one. In Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon, the titular God card gets its signature attack made into a physical card. Thunderforce Attack is a quick-play spell that can only be activated if you control Slifer the Sky Dragon and it destroys as many monsters your opponent controls as possible. Then, if the card was activated during your main phase, you can draw cards equal to the number of cards destroyed by this card’s effect. Slifer’s ATK is based on how many cards are in your hand, so not only does this card give you some serious card advantage, but it also leaves your Slifer with a huge attack stat! However, Thunderforce Attack allows you to attack with only one monster after you activate it, but considering how big your Slifer is after activating it, it might just be enough to win the game anyway. It being a quick-play spell also adds some versatility to its use as you can activate it during your opponent’s combos to disrupt their unbreakable board and leave them at the mercy of your Egyptian God!

No Tributes, No Problem with Soul Crossing

Tributing your opponent’s monsters has proven to be a great way of dealing with opposing threats as proven by the Kaiju monsters as well as cards, like the Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode. The Egyptian God Decks gives the other two Gods a way to Sphere Mode your opponent with the new Spell card: Soul Crossing, featuring art depicting the scene where Kaiba tributes Ishizu’s monsters to summon his Obelisk. Soul Crossing, however, works with any of the three Gods! It allows you to tribute your opponent’s monsters for the Tribute Summon of your Divine-Beast monster. This comes with a price, of course, as you cannot activate more than one card or effect until the end of your next turn - except for the effects of your Divine-Beast monster’s effects.

The Egyptian God Decks are said to include a bunch of existing cards to bolster your godly strategies. Think of cards like Ra’s Disciple to easily get more tribute fodder to summon your Gods, Mound of the Bound Creator to protect them or even searcht them from your deck, and probably some cards from the anime like Infinite Cards to add some classic lore to your Egyptian God deck.
