27 Commons / 10 Rares / 8 Super Rares / 8 Ultra Rares
Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium hit shelves on February 22, 2018 and brought with it, as with all the legendary duelists packs, plenty of fan favorite cards from Yu-Gi-Oh!'s rich history. This particular expansion focuses on characters from the original series like Pegasus and Weevil Underwood, and characters from the GX series like Chazz Princeton and Jesse Anderson. Ancient Millennium booster packs launched with a manufacturer standard retail price of $1.99 (est. 1.62 €) and each pack comes with five cards. The expansion contains 8 Ultra Rares, 8 Super Rares, 10 Rares, and 27 Commons. But enough about the details, let's talk about you can pull from these packs.
With Pegasus on the cover, you'd expect original series cards to play a large role in this expansion, and you wouldn't be wrong. Pegasus's signature fusion monster, Thousand-Eyes Restrict returns… a card that was, at one point, banned in competitive Yu-Gi-Oh. Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Idol are, of course, returning as well as support for this once-powerful card. These cards will be joined by other monsters from Pegasus's heyday in the animated series, including Illusionist Faceless Mage.
Pegasus isn't the only returning character from the original series, however, as Weevil Underwood also returns with classic cards like Parasite Paracide, Insect Queen, and Cocoon of Evolution. Bandit Keith also returns with his famous Barrel Dragon, in case you even remember who Bandit Keith was in the original series.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX won't be outdone by the original series, as they too are getting some of the spotlight in this set. Chazz Princeton and his famous Armed Dragons return. All three levels of Armed Dragons return, as do his famous Ojama cards, from the creatures themselves, to the various spell/trap cards that utilize them, such as Ojamagic and Ojamatching.
Along with Armed Dragons and Ojamas, another triumphant old-school archetype returns – Crystal Beasts. Everyone favorite game-breaking beasts are back, still swapping between the monster zones and spell/trap zones, likely causing headaches for all involved. Whatever your preference, whether it’s the truly old-school cards or some classic competitive archetypes from the GX era, you can find it here in this expansion. So, sleeve up your Ancient Gear Golems and show your playgroup the power of Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium.
