Set Information

The Dragonmaids Are Coming in Mystic Fighters

The next all-foil Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG set is here! Mystic Fighters introduces three new archetypes to the YGO trading card game with Level 9 Generaider Bosses, brand-new Dragon monsters Dragonmaids, and the Synchro and Xyz-summoning Mathmechs! The set releases on 21 November 2019 and contains 60 cards: 20 Secret Rares and 40 Super Rares. MSRP is about $ 3.99 per pack (approx. 3,60 €).

Set the Stage for the Generaider Bosses

The Generaider Bosses are a colorful bunch of monsters, ranging from Beast-Warrior to Zombie monsters, however, Mardell, Generaider Boss of Light* is a Plant type. Mardell lets you search through your deck, enabling powerful interactions with cards like Lonefire Blossom. This LIGHT monster makes it easier to bring Lonefire Blossom out as early as your first turn, so include him in your deck to search for the Generaider or Plant monster that you need.

Other main deck Generaider Bosses have a powerful Quick Effects, but at at the cost of Tributing themselves or other monsters. The Generaider Bosses are quite unique as they can be used in a pure Generaider deck or you can tech them in other existing decks if the monster types match. This might make for some really unique and interesting hybrid builds!

Hospitality Is the Way to Win

Looks can be deceiving when it comes to the Dragonmaid deck, focusing on low-level Maids that turn into high-level Dragons at the start of your Battle Phase then turning back into Maids after battling. This archetype does share some similarities with the Kozmo monsters, but instead of banishing lower level monsters, they return to your hand.

Take for example Dragonmaid Tillroo* who when Normal or Special Summoned can search your deck for any "Dragonmaid" card and then sends another Dragonmaid monster from the hand to the graveyard. This sets-up the "tag out" mechanic of the archetype. Take note that their boss monster is a Fusion Monster called Dragonmaid Hauskee* who can switch out your Dragonmaids during the Standby Phase!

The new archetypes in this set are sure to make for some amazing new decks, so be sure to check them out as soon as the TCG booster pack Mystic Fighters officially releases.
