Structure Deck: Sacred Beasts Reopens The Seven Spirit Gates

And you can be at the command of the horrors it will unleash! Just like the God cards from original Yu-gi-oh!, the Sacred Beasts have been a fan favorite for years, but has never really cut it as a dedicated deck. Structure Deck: Sacred Beasts aims to restore the Sacred Beasts theme to a full fledged deck, giving it quite a few options to rise to the top! Whether you want to focus on just one Sacred Beast or on all three of them, Structure Deck: Sacred Beasts has the tools to do so! This Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG set contains 46 cards with five ultra rares, three super rares, and 38 commons.

Meet the Minions!

Bringing out the Sacred Beasts wasn’t very easy or consistent before. Of course, there was Dark Summoning Beast – first released in Duelist Saga, but also gets reprinted in Structure Deck: Sacred Beasts – which allowed you to summon a Sacred Beast from your hand or deck by Tributing it. This set further expands on these Dark Beasts.

First up is the Dark Beckoning Beast, which searches your deck for any Sacred Beast OR a card that lists them in their text when Normal Summoned and allows an extra Normal Summon of a Fiend monster with 0 ATK and DEF. One of the Fiends that qualifies for this is Chaos Core, which can send one of each Sacred Beast from your deck to the GY when targeted by a card effect or for an attack. This opens up a one-card combo with Salamangreat Almiraj from Duel Overload! Using Dark Beckoning Beast to bring out Almiraj and then targetting Chaos Core with Almiraj’s effect immediately triggers Chaos Core's effect to send the Sacred Beasts to your graveyard. Last, but definitely not least, is the new Spell card Opening of the Spirit Gates, another searcher similar to Dark Beckoning Beast, which is also able to retrieve your used 0 ATK / DEF Fiends from the grave. This gives the deck an abundance of searching power and consistency that it previously lacked.

Resurrection of the Chaos Phantom

When all three Sacred Beasts are assembled, it allows you to summon their ultimate boss monster: Armityle the Chaos Phantom, a mighty Fusion Monster that gains 10000 ATK during your turn only, but is a vulnerable 0 ATK monster during your opponent’s turn. But don’t worry as Structure Deck: Sacred Beasts also has you covered on that! The new Spell card Dimension Fusion Destruction works as a Miracle Fusion for bringing out Armityle. By banishing Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, Raviel, Lord of Phamtasms, and Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder from either your field, hand, and / or GY (the latter working in tandem with Chaos Core), Dimension Fusion Destruction summons an Armityle from your extra deck, ignoring the summoning conditions. It also covers its 0 ATK weakness during your opponent’s turn as you take ZERO damage from attacks involving it. Additionally, if you control either one of the Sacred Beasts when activating Dimension Fusion Destruction, your opponent can’t do anything to stop it. Of course, this card is also searchable with the previously mentioned Dark Beckoning Beast. With all the previously mentioned consistency boosts for the deck, bringing out Armityle will be easier than ever before in the history of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG!
