We are looking for an experienced Back-end Developer to join our IT team. As a Back-end Developer at Cardmarket, you will work on our website and/or API to improve and extend existing as well as design and implement new modules and features. You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on implementing new and further maintaining and improving existing modules and features of Cardmarket's website family and internal web applications or our API.
Troubleshoot and debug to maintain the technical quality of our products.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Gather and address technical and design requirements as well as researching creative ideas and evaluating their feasibility.
Closely collaborate with and coordinate with different departments like support, marketing, or product management.
Essential Requirements:
A study, vocational training, or apprenticeship in software development, programming, or similar experience.
Experience with object-oriented software development and design patterns.
Experience with PHP, SQL, and Javascript.
Work experience with website and web application development is a plus.
Experience with MongoDB is a plus.
Creativity, flexibility, quick thinking, and the capability of working in an agile team.
Experience in working with Scrum is a plus.
The capability of working independently and carefully as well as together with a team, paired with a problem-solving attitude.
Fluent in English – verbal and written.
An affinity for trading cards and games is desirable.
